The Sjambok is a traditional African whip, originally made from thick hippopotamus or rhinoceros leather. It is used as a cattle prod, riding crop and for self-defense. Modern versions, such as those from Cold Steel , are made from injection-molded polypropylene and have a comfortable Kray-Ex handle that imitates braided leather. These materials make the whip weatherproof and durable.
