You have probably often looked for ways to improve your equipment or adapt it to the latest technology.
An exciting project is making your own slugs , especially in .68 and .50 caliber . This gives you full control over the quality and performance of your ammunition, and it gives your ammunition a personal touch.
Why make slugs yourself?
Customization: You can adjust the weight, shape and material of the slugs to suit your playing style and marker.
Cost savings: Even in the short term, it is usually much cheaper to make the slugs yourself than to buy ready-made ammunition.
Hobby and Learning : It is a rewarding project where you can learn a lot about ballistics and precision manufacturing.
With the flexible Ammo6 V9 spiral ammunition mold for 21 bullets , making slugs is child's play. You get a coordinated ammunition that is perfectly suited to both the standard and the tuning barrel of your HDR 68 revolver.
The material is made of 2K high-temperature silicone and is stable up to 250 degrees. All you need to make it is a hot glue gun, hot glue sticks or epoxy and steel balls . To make it, simply put the desired steel ball (7, 9 or 10 mm) and hot glue/polyurethane/epoxy into the mold and let it harden. The finished ammunition can be easily removed by "popping it out".
Due to the conical shape, the weight that suits you and the slanted grooves in the rear area of the bullet, the bullet is put into a rapid longitudinal rotation when fired and thus hits its target safely.
The Slugmaker Amo 6 ensures a perfect fit in the original drum as well as in the tuning aluminum drum of the HDR 68 T4E revolver from Umarex.
