New in the program: The USSOCOM M3 MAAWS Carl Gustav gas grenade launcher as presented by VFC .
The real-world counterpart of the Swedish rocket launcher Carl Gustaf , also used by the US Special Forces. The current version of this portable and reusable 84mm multipurpose recoilless grenade launcher is manufactured by Saab Bofors Dynamics .
VFC 's USSOCOM M3 MAAWS uses nylon fiber reinforced polymer for the main structure. This results in a weight reduction from 10kg (using the original material) to just 3,400 grams with the VFC design .
Inside, all major components are crafted from metal, keeping durability where it matters most.
This design not only reduces weight but also maintains the structural strength of the USSOCOM M3 MAAWS platform .
The USSOCOM M3 MAAWS Gas Launcher contains a simulated 84mm dummy rocket with many additional functions.
A 40mm Airsoft Greengas grenade filled with 6mm BBs can then be installed inside the rocket.
